One of Megan Racing s strongest products, the Cat-Back System is made of SUS-304 Stainless Steel with a fully polished surface, CNC machined flanges and mandrel bends. Its aggressive styling, and deep, strong tone are just part of the MR Cat-Back characteristics. It also serves to improve horsepower, torque and overall performance with its straight-through design. The exhaust systems have 2.5¡± piping and 3¡± piping for certain forced induction models. Finished with a tip that is designed to increase the scavenging effect and achieve maximum performance, while adding a perfect match on exterior styling as well. As a direct bolt on, each Cat-Back comes with a 12-Month warranty.
The Honda S2000 was a breakthrough for Honda, being their first full-production FR car with VTEC the S2000 dominated the race track even in it s stock trim with impressive handling and agility. The S2000 features a DOHC F20C5 and then later the F22C1; these engines were designed to be kept in the high-rpm range with the help of the Close-Ratio 6-Speed Transmission.
An engine is basically a glorified pump. If you want to get the most efficiency from your engine you're going to have to reduce any form of restriction before and after the engine. To reduce restriction before the engine, you need a good free-flowing and efficient Intake system. To reduce restriction after the motor you'll need a good set of headers and an exhaust system to match.
Megan Racing has developed such an exhaust for the Honda S2000 to extract the cars full potential of it's high-reving DOHC VTEC Motor.
Constructed of Stainless Steel T-304 Piping and a High-Flow Perforated Core muffler, this exhaust delivers a mellow tone while increasing performance. To reduce any type of turbulence in the system, a single exhaust path was utilized rather than a Dual-Exhaust. This increased the efficiency of the exhaust and offered a deeper tone.
By popular demand, we've increased our Version-2 exhaust to an almost uncalled for 3-Inches. This of course is tuned for the more track-intensive vehicles that are always in the High-RPM range as you will lose a little low-end torque. The exhaust tone also becomes a little more aggressive and may cause discomfort in the cabin due to drone. Please note that due to the louder exhaust, attention from law enforcement will also be increased.
