The oil of the motor is often considered the lifeline of a motor, ensuring the metal to metal contact minimizes wear by introducing a lubricating oil. When oil pressure is below standards, it can often lead to engine failure as low oil pressure indicates many potential problems from increased clearances within the engine. Low oil pressure can is also critical for turbo components as well. An oil pressure gauge is a very helpful diagnostic tool that can often save an owner from costly engine repairs if low oil pressure is ignored.
