The Racing Beat Power Pulse Twin Tip Muffler really makes a standout statement once installed on your Miata. The aggressive Euro-look of these twin tips just flat out looks great on this car - we're surprised Mazda didn't offer these style tips on their mufflers!

Ironically, this muffler was originally designed for a special project car per the request of Mazda USA. After delivering a twin-tip muffler to Mazda, we decided to include it in our line-up! We're certainly glad we did, the response to this muffler has been outstanding - everyone seems to love the look.

Manufactured by Racing Beat using polished 304-stainless steel, this muffler will offer years of enthusiastic performance driving. The large diameter stainless steel tubing is designed to meet the demands of any stock or high horsepower application. This muffler features a split-Y internal design to deliver exhaust gas to each outlet for optimum exhaust gas flow. The Power Pulse Twin Tip Muffler provides a slightly louder-than-stock exhaust note without any unpleasant droning or "buzzy" sounds.

This bolt-on muffler is a direct replacement for the stock muffler (for manual transmission equipped cars) and requires only minor modifications to the rear bumper cover. Easy to follow instructions and a supplied cutting template simplify the installation process. Connecting Pipe Section Replacement
For the 1999-2005 Miata, Mazda incorporated both a non-removable catalytic converter and a presilencer into the mid-chassis connecting pipe section. Since there is no flanged connection behind this catalytic converter, installing a traditional bolt-on, "cat-back" exhaust system on the Miata isn't possible. Another alternative is to replace the entire connecting pipe section with larger diameter connecting pipe section with an integrated "high flow" cat converter. However, emissions laws are changing rapidly across the US and the sale, distribution and use of non-exempt performance "high flow" catalytic converters are facing increasing restrictions. If you are considering this option consult your local emissions authorities before proceeding.

Muffler Fitment on Auto Transmission Models Due to discrepancies with regards to the mounting flange bolt-hole spacing on automatic transmission cars, we are suggesting that you measure the flange bolt-hole spacing on your current muffler prior to placing an order. (Why Mazda decided to use a different flange on some AT versions has left us baffled! Sorry for the extra work required to determine the correct exhaust for your application, but we'd rather have you order the correct muffler and avoid the hassles and expense of returning the wrong part.) We request that you measure the flange bolt-hole spacing on your car to confirm that you will be obtaining the correct muffler for your application. The measurement of concern is the spacing of the bolt holes on the flange between the muffler and the connecting pipe section.

Note your measurements as follows:

Automatic Transmission = 3.46" (88mm) center-to-center
Manual Transmission = 4.33" (110mm) center-to-center
